Abstract: Tourette's syndrome (TS) is a severe type of tic disorder (TD). In recent years, the morbidity of TS has been increasing, and the clinical manifestations are complex and diversified, which has a serious impact on the quality of life of children. At present, drug treatment is still the main treatment for TS at home and abroad, but traditional drugs are difficult to effectively treat TS due to multiple adverse reactions and poor drug compliance. Therefore, to find new drugs instead of the treatment of TS has become a research hot spot. This article reviews the recent progress in the use of deuterated tetrabenazine and levetiracetam in the treatment of TS in China and abroad.
