Abstract: Intestinal failure (IF) is the critical reduction of the gut mass or its function below the minimum needed to absorb nutrients and fluids required for adequate growth in children, which could result in life-threatening fluid and electrolyte imbalances and malnutrition. Relevant advances in nutrition support and complications management have greatly improved the life quality of IF patients. This review focuses on the strategy of management in pediatric patients with IF with the hope of a bright future for them.
