Abstract: Epilepsy is a chronic disease of the nervous system caused by abnormal neuronal function in the brain. It mainly occurs in children and adolescents and has certain heredity. Because epilepsy itself breaks the normal brain electrophysiology of neurons and produces repetitive and cumulative damage to the cerebral cortex, children's cognitive function, mental psychology, social behavior, sleep and so on are seriously affected, leading to the threat to their later life quality and even disturbance to their life and development in adulthood. With the in-depth study of epilepsy, the treatment of epilepsy is no longer limited to controlling seizures, and the quality of life of children and their families has become equally important. How to improve the quality of life in epilepsy children has become a part of clinical evaluation by specialist clinicians. This article reviews the research on the life quality of epileptic children.
